Senior + Special Needs Cat
Very few visitors to the PAWS shelter in Quezon City would have had a chance to meet Yumi, even if she lived there since 2013. That’s because this shy old lady would always hide in one of the upper ledges of the indoor Cattery whenever unfamiliar guests showed up.
One thing that turns Yumi into a friendly kittum though is wet food. When she hears a can being pulled open, you could expect Yumi to be eating out of your palm in a matter of seconds.
It’s a good thing that Yumi loves wet foobs, because it helps with her sensitive tummy and teefs. Nothing makes us happier than to be able to provide these things for her, and we hope to be able to keep doing this with your help.

We do not know her age for certain, but we do know that it takes very little for Yumi’s dental and digestive issues to flare up. We are happy to have her at BFFS, where she can get the TLC she needs. That TLC includes a constant supply of wet food, low-sodium kibble, and her favorite galunggong! Please help us spoil her in her golden years.
When you become Yumi's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.
Yumi is aloof for a good reason. As an adult stray, she was trapped by a well-meaning rescuer and brought to the PAWS clinic for medical assistance. If her rescuer came back for her after she recovered, maybe she would trust people more?
