Special Needs Dog
Viserion didn’t use to be a tripod. He was seen along Visayas Ave. in Quezon City, dragging his wounded and bleeding hind legs. His injuries turned out to be either inborn or caused by past trauma, and not a recent hit and run incident.
The vet amputated his left hind leg because it had severely atrophied and the nerves were completely dead. It would hinder his ability to strengthen and use his other hind leg.
Viserion’s hind area also needs constant cleaning because he is also incontinent, which has resulted in urine scalding and a recurring mass along his genitals. As if that isn’t enough, he still continues to drag his remaining hind leg, leaving sore spots and fresh wounds, although he can put weight on it.
Despite that, he remains one of our most active and playful canine resident. There’s no stopping him, with or without his wheelchair.
