Ligaya

Special Needs Dog

At first glance, Ligaya looks like a normal, healthy dog. We’re unsure of her exact age but she still apears young and is very energetic.

At the PAWS shelter though, she was a scared dog that didn’t interact with people. In fact, she would run away from anyone who tried to befriend her.

Ligaya, along with her sister Liwayway, were listed among the least adoptable residents who may never get adopted. We didn’t want them to meet the same fate as the others before them who grew old and died at the shelter without experiencing a real family.

Now, she is one of our most playful dogs who loves to sprint across the field and chase dragonflies.

Become Ligaya's BFF

It may not show because she’s a bit skinny, but Ligaya loves to eat! She likes it especially with a healthy mix of wet food. After years of eating scraps and leftovers, we want to spoil her with tasty kibble and wet food to keep her happy. Would you be her BFF?

Ligaya's Wishlist

  • Dog kibble
  • Wet dog food
  • Dog treats
  • Dog collar and leash
  • Collapsible crate
  • Food and water bowls
  • Frontline for Dogs (10-20kg)

When you become Ligaya's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.

Rescue Story

Ligaya, along with her siblings, was rescued from a big fire that destroyed many homes in Anonas Sta. Mesa, Quezon City. She sustained minor injuries that were promptly treated by the PAWS vet. They may have been owned pets, but they were clearly left to fend for themselves especially after the fire.
