Habagat

Senior Dog

This handsome boy has the looks, unfortunately not the charisma. In fact, he’s quite a terrifying dog.

Growing old without getting socialized caused him to be deeply mistrustful of humans. Because of that, he spent almost 3 years in quarantine at the PAWS shelter, never graduating to the dog run or becoming eligible for adoption. While he is capable of showing and receiving affection to a VERY select few, he is still unpredictable and can be aggressive if mishandled.

Although we are not qualified dog trainers or behavior experts, we believe that Habagat can live out the rest of his days in a sanctuary setting where he has more freedom and more opportunities to interact with humans. We believe that BFFS can be his home.

Become Habagat's BFF

Habagat’s age is really starting to show. Although he’s still strong, he walks with a little bit more difficulty these days. He needs joint supplements to keep the pain away. We are also hoping to supply him with more treats to help with his socialization and training. We hope someone could be his BFF. Could that be you?

Habagat's Wishlist

When you become Habagat's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on his well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how he's doing.

Rescue Story

It’s a sad one… Habagat’s previous owner had passed away, and it was several days before the neighbors noticed it. They reported it to the authorities and noted that a dog was left alone and starving in the backyard. After the owner’s remains were retrieved, PAWS rescuers came to the site to get him and admit him to the shelter.
