Bopis

Special Needs Dog

You would think that a young, purebred corgi like her would find an adopter quickly, but we soon found out that it wouldn’t be the case.

Bopis is a very sickly dog. She has food allergies that caused her to lose fur and left scars on her face. She has a very sensitive tummy. She has frequent diarrhea and vomiting spells. She has weak lungs and is very prone to coughs and colds. She has had pneumonia which she almost didn’t survive.

Despite that, Bopis continues to be an affectionate dog who fights hard to live a normal life every day. Her floppy ears like to flap in the wind when she chases down her fur-siblings. She likes to herd them like a true corgi, and we want her to be able to display natural behavior without the burden of her health issues.

Become Bopis' BFF

Bopis needs to be on a special diet of highly soluble fiber to help with her digestion. She also needs vitamins to strengthen her immune system. We need help to provide her rather expensive dietary requirements so that we can keep her healthy. Could you be her BFF?

Bopis' Wishlist

  • Royal Canin Gastrointestinal
  • Multivitamins
  • Madre de Cacao oil
  • Dog harness
  • Chew toys

When you become Bopis' BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.

Rescue Story

Bopis is the product of man’s greed — bred for profit, brought to the country illegally, then promptly abandoned when the owners realized the consequences of their actions. That’s how she ended up in the custody of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society and fostered by us.
