Pyra

Special Needs Cat

Even as a kitten, we recognized Pyra’s playful and feisty nature. Without any littermates to play with and learn from, she didn’t get properly socialized.

She’s also a bit defensive, and understandably so. You see, her left eye got infected when she was very young, and by the time she was rescued, it was already too late. Thankfully, her right eye was saved, although it can’t see very well. Thta’s why she doesn’t like other animals invading her personal space, and she’s always ready to swipe.

She loves getting pets, but only on her own terms. When she gets sick of it, she will tell you!

Become Pyra's BFF

Pyra hasn’t got many furriends because of her defensive nature, so she’s gotten used to playing on her own. We like to spoil her with toys and scratching posts so she doesn’t get board. Would you be her BFF and help keep her entertained and happy?

Pyra's Wishlist

  • Cat tree
  • Scratching post
  • Cat toys
  • Ciao Churu
  • Cat bed

When you become Pyra's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.

Rescue Story

Pyra was seen in a busy parking space—and it’s probably the most dangerous place for a tiny kitten that’s almost blind! It’s a miracle that she didn’t get hurt.

She was picked up by a good Samaritan and we offered to foster her; however, because of her condition and behavioral issues, we decided to make her a permanent resident.
