Special Needs Dog
What would you do if your pet suffered from a chronic condition and needed special care? Surely, a responsible pet owner would do what is necessary to help their furry family member.
Sadly for Otto, her family didn’t treat her as family at all. She was thrown out on the streets, hoping that someone else would take pity and help.
While her skin condition doesn’t look good and her hair may never fully grow back, it doesn’t stop Otto from being a regular dog who enjoys walks, treats, and scratches — but only in the right places! Years of itching and scratching has turned some parts of her body red and sore. She requires gentle handling, just like any regular senior citizen with growing aches and pains.

Otto’s condition is some form of food allergy. The only sort o kibble that works for her is grain-free, particularly the lamb variant. We supplement that with Virbac Sebolytic Shampoo and Madre de Cacao Oil Spray. Unfortunately, her skin requirements don’t come cheap, and we need a little help. Would you like to offer assistance and be Otto’s BFF?
When you become Otto's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.
When Otto was found on the streets, it was clear that she needed help. Her skin would have caused her a lot of discomfort, and her age and overall health condition meant that she would have a hard life fending for herself if she wasn’t rescued.
