Kara

Special Needs Cat

A former IG sensation, Kara was one of the most popular feline residents at PAWS. During her 3-year stay at the shelter, she amassed quite a number of IG fans, adoption inquiries, and visitations. So…. what happened, right?

Kara didn’t quite meet people’s expectations. Her IG pics showed a chubby and cuddly furball who wasn’t so cuddly in person after all. She’s shy and aloof around strangers. Surely, her rough life on the streets didn’t help, especially when her last human encounter was a traumatic hit and run incident where she almost died!

Now almost a senior lady, with more white hair and fewer teeth, she is enjoying farm life where she gets to show her affectionate side to her favorite humans.

Become Kara's BFF

Kara has chronic gingivitis, and most of her teeth have been removed. Because of this, we try to give her softened kibble or wet cat food whenever we can. She has a favorite feeding spot where the other cats can’t get to her yummy bowl. When it’s feeding time, she presents herself to be picked up and placed in her spot, and she does it in the most adorable way!

Kara's Wishlist

  • Wet cat food
  • Cat treats
  • Scratch board
  • Cat tree
  • Cat litter
  • LC-Vit (multi-vitamins)

When you become Kara's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.
