Special Needs Cat
Celeste was rescued as a tiny little kitten. She was only supposed to be in quarantine at the PAWS shelter until she was ready to be adopted or at least moved to their cattery. Unfortunately that time never came.
She never became healthy and social enough to be introduced to the other cats, so she spent 4 YEARS in her quarantine cage. When we heard about her plight, we knew we had to take her home right away.
She has some minor dental issues and she’s still underweight. That’s why we make sure that she doesn’t get bullied during meal time. She’s a very fearful cat, but she has started tolerating moderate pets from us. We do believe that she would do best as a solo pet, so she may be available for adoption to the right person.

What Celeste really wants is to be a solo pet. Although she is technically a BFFS retiree, we can make an exception if someone wants to make a real difference in her life by adopting her. We want what’s best for this girl. If you can’t adopt her, she’ll be happy with some tasty wet food to help with her appetite, because she’s a bit underweight.
When you become Celeste's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on her well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how she's doing.
Seeing a kitten wandering around dangerous roads is a common sight in our country. That’s how Celeste was found. Fortunately for her, it was just around the PAWS shelter and she was immediately brought to safety.
