Senior + Special Needs Dog
When Bill was rescued, it didn’t seem like he had any hope of surviving or having any quality of life. He can barely walk due to old age and severe arthritis, and all he did at the PAWS shelter was lay in his kennel. Euthanasia was considered, but that would have been the ultimate last resort. First we had to see if retirement living will make any difference.
Within days, we noticed an increased level of interaction between him and the hoomans of BFFS. He enjoys long petting sessions and getting treats. Although he often needs help getting up, he still likes taking short strolls and sunbathing in the morning. He has also developed a love for plush doggie beds!

Bill is now on senior supplements like Glucosamine to help manage his arthritis. We also give him fish oil to help keep his heart healthy. Because of his aching joints, we’re sure that he would also appreciate a firm, easy to wash doggie bed so that he always has a clean one ready to use. Would you help us provide Bill’s needs to make him more comfortable?
When you become Bill's BFF, you will receive monthly newsletters with updates on his well-being. You may also request for a 5-minute Zoom call so you can see how he's doing.
